Aligning Your Flow of Influence

The Flow of Influence is a snappy way of describing how a student flows through a school’s ecosystem from the first time they come in contact, all the way through to graduation and beyond.

Often, schools have a missing link in this chain that leads to lower enrollment numbers, higher dropout rates, low staff/faculty morale, and declining job placement numbers.  Most often, schools have focused on specific aspects of their flow, and by any standard, these could be considered world-class.  However, if one link in this chain is broken or misaligned, then problems become apparent pretty quickly… so long as you know what to look for.

This is where I come in.

Three Months to a Better Flow

Throughout my process, I conduct a comprehensive discovery and assessment, and provide a game plan to all stakeholders outlining what’s working, what needs improvement, and creative ways to introduce new ideas into the workflow.  This results in higher enrollment numbers, your entire staff staying on message, more robust support for your students, and higher graduation rates.

Month One: Discovery

The first month focuses on getting to know your school, connecting with your team and students, and understanding how your flow develops from initial contact to graduation and beyond.

Month Two: Assess & Implement

I work with your team to review and systematically implement the processes to align your Flow of Influence.  We’ll accomplish this through meetings, training sessions, and brainstorming sessions.

Month Three: Refine

The last 30 days of this project are all about monitoring, assessing, and refining.  Our goal is to tailor these solutions to your specific culture, mission, and unique students, staff, and faculty.

After these first 90 days, you should have the tools, resources, and skills to enroll more students and usher them through the learning experience with a staff that is clear on the mission.

While this first phase of our process is enough for most clients, it’s not uncommon for us to stay on board for a while afterward to help refine and introduce new ideas with you and your team.  This is something we can discuss on a case-by-case basis to ensure we are aligned on what still needs to be accomplished.

What Makes This Different?

Schools are a special kind of service business, keyword: business.  They are typically made up of a few components: a strong marketing/sales process, world-class courses and programs, and the ability to operate within ever-changing financial restraints.  Your school will benefit from our services because I bring over two decades of experience in three crucial areas:

          Sales/Customer Service

          Management

          Instructional Design/eLearning Design

These skills have been honed in the trenches of sales calls, open houses, strategy sessions, curriculum writing, and more.  I have spent years helping schools and companies remove the blocks to flowing revenue streams, training award-winning sales teams, and designing flagship programs that have ushered in new generations of students into the workforce.

Having worked with virtually every aspect of a school, I know how to connect the most important pieces to unite your team and to get everyone facing the same direction.
